PersonalThrows, Design Tool Video Tutorial

In early 2017, PersonalThrows.com implemented a design tool on their e-commerce site, which required a great deal of customization on the back-end of both the site itself and our installation of the tool. I spent weeks populating color palettes, design assets/templates, and other features.

While we believed that this would be a boon to our operations, as it allowed customers to fully customize products to their liking (rather than waiting on our art team to set up their layout for them to proof), the initial launch proved difficult. Customers struggled to understand how to operate the tool, and how their layouts needed to be set up for us to print them.

I was asked to create a tutorial that inspired users to utilize our library of assets in the tool and gave them a basic example of how to make a basic layout.

For this, I utilized a chevron template (which we typically used for monogram designs) and a few photos of my dog.

Although it had some small success with users, it was later removed from their site at some point after my departure.
